Please consider a donation to the TGC Endowment to honor or memorialize a TGC member or other person or organization in our community.  Donations to the TGC Endowment Fund provide perpetual support for community projects to enhance our mission to educate, protect, restore and beautify Richmond, the State of Virginia and our Nation.  Funds donated to this endowment are managed by Davenport & Company LLC.   Each year, our Club is able to draw monies from these accounts to fund our community projects (4% spending rate).  The balance of the account at the end of our last fiscal year was  $88,902.33.

 

Thank you to all who have donated to the TGC Endowment.  Recent funds from the Endowment have been used to fulfill our GCA Second Century Campaign Partners for Plants pledge of $10,000.  

 

Partners for Plants is a habitat restoration program of the GCA Civic Improvement Committee. Its purpose is to facilitate projects between local GCA clubs and land managers on federal, state, local and other significant public lands. Projects may include the monitoring and protection of rare, endangered and medicinal plants, the propagation and replanting of native plants and the removal of invasive plants.

 

Recent work supported by this effort was a restoration of the beautiful dunes at Carmel-by-the-sea in Northern California.  Click on link to learn more about this important national project:
